The Ressurection

I started sanding off the paint but quickly ditched the sand paper and just picked up a razor blade and went to town. Then I through on some glass over some blue insulation that I so carefully sculpted, lol. I don't know if that will hold up but I guess we'll find out.

Thanks Pete. If you thought it was hard on flat water wait until you try it down in Daytona in some surf.

We can trade again.. I'm good for a laugh.. or you laughing at me falling over...

I would like to see you go to town on my ski in the surf.. :Banane09:
Bet you go nuts... Just watch the bottom ! :eek5:

Pete,

Come on its just an adventure to ride. Really if the handlepole wasn't that short then it would be impossible. Hey Eric while your at it theres a toy in the basement of our apartment you can glass too.

As you can see the bottom got a little reinforcement after Daytona last year. I sanded the biaxial down quite a bit for future plans. The inside underneath the engine bay was also done last year after Daytona. What I don't have pictured is what I did to the nose on the inside and outside. This hull is becoming my surf hull although it's the hardest to ride in the surf. I think I put enough biaxial on the nose that it should last a few encounters with the bottom.

Well obviously I had to paint it pink again. Went with an even more flashy pink. This time I decided to use enamel and see how that would hold up. That's one of my lil brothers painting it. We're still not done, have something planned for the bottom. Hope everyone loves it as much as I do. :bigok:

i wonder how long the body will hold up this year. ROFL...
i got your pic text of your ski.. looks good for now lol

You'd be surprised how much stronger it is this year. It took me a year to destroy it so I figure it will take quite about five years of abuse if I start riding my new hull all the time and keep this one together for the surf. Miss you baby dik.

Well at least I now know that I can cut some of the bond line off, run a few layers for reinforcement, and the ski will be ok. Interesting build.
