The Ike photo of LSFR (Penguin's House)

This is the NOAA photo just following Ike from a flyover. If you go to the right middle of the picture, that is where Penguin's house stood and we rode, stayed, and partied. Only way I found it was by the U shape house right off Hwy 87 in the upper right corner. 3 Streets over WAS S. O'Neil. :eek2: If you use Google Maps, you can overlay where this is exactly. But I am 90% right I got as close to the spot as the photos went. I tried to insert the image, but its HUGE.

Penguin, that is some F'ed up stuff. IKE :shooter3:

actually, you can't see where my house was in that photo. I'll post the correct one. One more frame to the east is my house.

The green roofed house is the one directly across the street from me that was built last year in front of the "dreamsicle" house. As you can see - dreamsicle is gone.

Sorry.. yeah its huge. Make sure you scroll around cuz it got lots of white border.

And I did say I got as close as I could get off those slides and I was a whole 50 ft off. LOL!

so the new house they are building beach side and to the left of you made it??

I wonder if they will come plow all the sand off hte streets down to the asphalt road or leave the sand????

no, it's toppled over.

as far as the sand and roads - i'm hoping they will scrape the roads and put it back to start building dunes. We may get together with the neighbors and try to get all the lots bladed and take that sand to the dunes also

we've filed our windstorm insurance claim.

I doubt we'll get much out of it - if anything, because "experts" are already saying that 95% of the damage is from flood. Windstorm insurance does not cover damage due to storm surge - even though it's driven by wind. That is paid under a flood policy.

so, likely we will be on our own.

that farken sucks, bro. I thought you were gonna get something out of this for sure. Looks like we will be having a LSFR rebuild effort. Get Skinny and the crew fired up. Have hammer, will travel.

The blown up photo is just mind blowing.
