The FX1 that almost killed me

great Idea on the fuel pump mounting. i am sure you will like the hookup difference of the 144 pump, but it will be NOTHING like your 140 mag bro, shoulda mounted that up in there.

I know. But when I started this, there weren't many 144's in a FX-1, let alone 140 mags. Even Bonzai Bob was just getting started with pump conversions. I believe had the first customer Blowsion pump conversion, begging John D. to weld one up and sell me one for months. Tricky1 teased me with some shots of a 140 in an FX-1, but I didn't have the cahonies to modify my mag.

great looking ski. If you get the Chance use the tangelo orange w/ base white under it it is a sick color i did a 56' chevy with the tangelo on the bottom and white on top old school two tone. looked killer if i can find the pic's of it i will post it again nice job

Yeah, i love the color and trying to fit it in. If not, I'll have tangelo orange mountain bikes, garage fridge, and maybe some lawn furniture!

got it out last weekend for the first time. damn good feeling. light, challenging, and love the foot holds. ran break-in jetting for a tank , which was rich but did the trick. comp is dead on.

Break-in 120L, 115H 2.0 95g
switched to 115L, 120H 2.0 95g

was planning to get a tach to find total jetting by max rpm, then tune high and low. I'll use the needles to tell me which direction in jets to find top rpm.

hmm... riding an FX-1 full throttle with tubbies trying to watch a tiny tach to find top RPM :shocked:
