Ok so here are the final pics of my 1988 Kawi X2 I got it in the 8th grade worked all summer to get the money so buy it. I moved to college and did not have a spot to store it nor a way to haul it so I stored it at my grandparents place until they lost their barn in a fire this past spring. "Funny" thing is that I actually told my wife that we needed to go and get the ski and we had a trip planned to go get it, though not soon enough.


Actually only one pic is of the X2 the others are of either 1) a wheel barrow 2) Some old bicycles 3) An old fridge or 4) some scrap metal. We do not know which is which however they were all stored in the same area of my grandparents barn.

That's whats left of the ski- I'm guessing it was in the barn when it burned down.

Unless there was some kind of oxidizer in that barn there would be some steel parts left, crank, drive shaft etc.

I did not get back to see the barn but that is all that they could find. My mother took the metal pieces. She thought that they "looked neat" so she put them in her flower beds. As to the oxidizer there were all kinds of accelerants. I'm no chemist but the barn burned hot enough that it melted all kinds of stuff. It took three days for the fire to go out. there was litterally nothing left.

so, gramps knocked down the shed then sold the x2 for beer money. then he threw the empties in the firepit that was comprised of old barn wood. the result is your "x2".

At least you know it's in a better place, Valhalla, after it's Viking funeral. :newangel:
Most end up in some scrap pile to rot away into obscurity.
