Somewhere in my list of unfinished projects is a old EZ-GO golf cart sitting on a stretched LT3004x4 chassis , maybe one day.

FINALLY got her running, she def fought me tho!

Put it all back together, and went to make sure I had spark, nope, no spark

So after much dicking around and diagnosing things, come to find out the lanyard switch was not working properly and intermittently killing spark, which would come and go by playing with the switch/smacking it, EVEN tho I went through the switch to avoid this very scenario. So all new switch internals and fresh leads for the E box (as well as a new coil as I thought that was the OG problem) and she runs! Not %100 done as I have a few more things to do, but my goal was to get her running before I leave town for work here in a few days, and that goal has been achieved!

I could not have done this build with out your guys help, and I want to give a HUGE shout out to @smoofers and @JetManiac for all the insight, help, and parts throughout this build! Next post will prob be a while, but hoping that post will be of it out on the water!

Just a quick vid of it running, didn't run it too long as I didnt have the hose hooked up, just wanted to get it going, a little smokey as I'm running 32:1 to break it in (and I needed to get rid of what I had left in that ratio) but will switch to 40:1 once I get through this tank.

Today was the day!

Maiden voyage day, performed GREAT! What a difference to the 550s, this thing is such a blast, but man, I have a lot of tray time I need to put in, it def kicked my ass and I am a wobbly mess, but in time I will get it better. Wanted to give some closure on this thread for y'all, this thing is one of my best completed projects to date, love it!

Also, I splurged a bit and picked up a hitch carrier in purple from 9 Mile Motorsports to match it, I could have made my own, but time didn't permit and this thing is incredible quality, built like a tank, def recommend it!

Until next time!

I love the fact this is your first ski and you just dove right into a full build. Great job on it too, that thing was beat! It's probably not you that's wobbly, it's that hull right as you plane out. We learned that first time out on the wife's square that I built. Not even remotely similar to riding your buddies 550!

For sure man, you helped me big time in this build with tips and parts, I will always come to you for parts for future builds, couldn't have done it without you!

Thanks man I appreciate it! Yea it's def night and day to the 550s, so much more power, even in stock form it wants to leap out of the water!

Been a while! But I'm still here, having a great time ripping around and learning the techniques to ride these crazy things, summer is finally winding down here in AZ, that means dune/desert season is starting up, so time to trade the ski for the dirt bike!

The old Superjet performed flawlessly all summer, no issues, just fuel her and ride! She's got some bumps and bruises as to be expected, but over all it was a great summer!

Until next time, and that next time MIGHT be a WB1 resto, friend of mine has a blaster hull he said I could have for free, but I'm in no rush for another project at the moment o_O

Didn't want to de-rail my WB1 build thread, so some small updates on the square. Season is over (for me) so wanted to knock out all the little things that have needed attention over the last few years.

First up, hood seal replacement.

I wanted to replace my square's "reverse" hood seal I added during the build, essentially weather stripping from McMaster Carr, it worked fine if I wasn't subbing or messing around, but would take on water and had a few times where it swallowed some leaving me fighting to get it started.

So, replaced it with the Watcon seal, only to see my hood has warped even more over the past few years. Put the old "reverse" hood seal on as well as the Watcon seal. Not ideal, but the hood clasps down (very tightly) and its now a super solid seal. Hopefully the seal will compress a little over time and then I'm set, little nervous with how much clamping force is being put on the hood/latch.

If not, then I will prob remove both seals and try and find some thicker weather stripping, or maybe go to surf straps, but this should work fine.

My living room atm, ski lives in here for the winter, it's my "Conversation" piece

Next, exhaust work

I wanted to either replace or upgrade my "Custom" breadbox to water box rubber exhaust hose. Basically pieced this together using two exhaust pipes and some PVC pipe during the build, been working great but that PVC pipe has always bugged me.

So either gonna replace the PVC pipe with some stainless or aluminum with the ends bead rolled to hopefully prevent blowing off the pipe, or might replace it with the OEM pipe. However, not sure if the OEM pipe will fit right, as I'm running the stock bread box to a Rad Dudes water box.

So for all those saying that PVC would melt in the exhaust systems of these things, maybe, but this worked just fine on a stock 61X for 2 years. I just wanted to get a better setup in there, especially since I'm doing more tail stands and what not, more pressure on that exhaust.
