great... you have us staying at an evacuated EPA Superfund site :poke: Probably just a funding thing. Seems they are always closing some site or another.

I've always been able to bring the 3 kiddos whenever it has been possible or I have wanted...lol Hopefully I test the back before then. Feeling good but don't want to push it. I can always bring the skis and tube for some fun time over those big wakes.

if my wife comes i will be bringing two honda f12x's. they are great for pulling the kids in tubes, or if you want to ski they are good for that also. i have a two seater tube that i will bring for the kids.

My 91 Seadoo XP is good at pulling our tube.

It's only a 2 seater, but a 'loophole' in our state laws allow us to pull a tube on a ski that's only got 1 person, as long as the ski has mirrors.

Texas has the same 'loophole', so it looks like we're bringing our tube.

Every motorboat towing a person must have an observer, other than the operator, 13 years of age or older OR be equipped with a rearview mirror of a size no less than four inches (4") in measurement from bottom to top and across from one side to the other.

Hey, I didn't start this thread!

My kids are pretty cool generally, sometimes my son has a BIT too much to drink and gets violent, but he is only 11 so its easy to put him in his place.

Man, kids these days just can't hold their liquour! :jester:

I'd rather everyone not see my big white ass when I go to get rid of solid waste, thanks. :icon16:

EDIT: Knowing my luck, someone would take a picture of it. Someone got me taking a piss just over the dune at the LSFR. They thought it looked rather funny.
be sure you wear your life jacket in case you fall in :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

So, we're talking about 2nd weekend - 13, 14, & 15 of June, or 4th weekend - 27, 28, & 29? Anybody else have dates to avoid besides Penguin and Kawtipper?

Larry, make a poll to add to your thread!

J/K, well, maybe not. :scratchchin:

either date would be good - but I'm thinking the earlier might be better so some people that may be going to both Texoma and possibly the Ozarks ride would have a weekend off in between.

it's a loophole, but you don't qualify. I believe the mirrors must be 4" tall in order to use a 2 seater as a tow boat, and no PWC has mirrors that big.

and I could bring the big honkin Polaris...maybe not

a weekend in between WOULD be nice.

and the law says mirrors 4" x 4" I think.

whats the age limit to legally ride there?

12 years old?

EDIT - found it 13, dang.

If he behaves himself and doesn't do stupid things, it's likely that he could get away with riding in the cove. I certainly would not recommend going out of the cove after the big cruisers. A certain red bull drinkin' friend has a daughter that is tall for her age and he's had her out on the standups with close supervision. The water law even came by and mentioned that she probably shouldn't be doing that at that age. This was on Lewisville where the water cops know us pretty well.

The OK water cops may not always be so nice but the Texas Texoma water cops in general are pretty decent. We violate the 100' rule regularly and never get stopped at all. Of course, we're wearing helmets and playing nicely with others.
