doing a lot of planning for my next build and im stuck on some of my pump decisions. i plan on running one of the hooker impellers but dont know what to do for my cone...is the TBM cone worth it? http://www.tbmracing.com/products/drive.html#yam_cone
im not going to plunk down the change to get a mag pump so im thinking if that works as advertised it would be a much more cost effective happy medium?
what about boring the nozzle with this thing? i know ive read a lot about bored nozzles and some cones just dont mix but anyone have any feedback for running the tbm and a bored nozzle?

They work very well for a poor mans mag pump! Just be careful not to over prop for the engine as they make the pump hook up and are very efficient.
Bored nozzle works well with them too, as it helps unload it a little bit.

how bad would it be to run one of these type parts and not use a c-75 type prop

is it sort of defeating the purpose to not use a wider hub prop?

A Blowsion build big bore.
84mm cylinders freeride ported, ADA head 180psi compression. MSD enhancer, TBM lightened flywheel timing set at stock. Dual after market 44’s with R& intake manifold, V force 3 reeds. Limited Bpipe, Jet works Flow control valve

Sounds like that is the pump set up I need then. I will be running a LPW 771 flat top Big Bore with MSD TL, TNT pipe, 44's, etc.

I'm running a impros solas concord 13/15 cutback now, but I haven't tried it with my new motor yet. I'm not expecting it to be all that great.

my buddy is running a TBM with a small hub 14.5-18 solas slimline or something like that.

his ski has some pretty good bottom end 61x/61x, single 44, b pipe, ada head, flow control valve, boyesen reeds, lightweight couplers.

i would think the big hub prop would work out a bit better though but who knows.

I believe this is the most important part and it seems all too often that people go all out on the engine, pipe, carbs, etc. and then they go conservative on the prop and end up getting something that is overpitched and that kills a setup that would've otherwise had great low end power.

Not saying everyone does it but plenty of people either think their engines are too powerful for the low pitched props or they're afraid the prop will slip so they pitch up without even trying.

Mcdog, if you want to put my 9/15 prop and pump in your ski before you buy one, you're welcome to give it a shot.
