TBM Steering Cable Ends

does anyone know if the ends for the steering cable that TBM sells would fit an SJ steering? it says specifically that it "fits all kawasaki cable ends and all standups that use the 9mm ball" does that include an SJ? dont know what size our balls are? (lol well....)
and if not is there any other aftermarket solution for the cable ends that take out the slop like these are designed to do?

If they don't you can't always get some Kawi ball ends.

good point. but id like to know so i can buy those to if need be. or if there is a cheaper/just as viable solution for the SJ ones.
who sells oem kawi stuff that i could buy those balls off from?

I don't know for sure, but I am guessing the Yamaha balls are 9mm as well.


I ran outside to measure for you, and the ball on my nozzle measured 8.37mm, and the ball on the turn plate measured 8.92mm. The nozzle ball is either a different part number, or is severely worn.

stay away fron tbm cable ends.they usually strip out after a while.

the oem cable ends are expensive and figured if i can spend a little more
and get something better i would.

the seadoo heim joint ends are pretty sweet and should thread on to your cable.

the yamaha suv also uses them for the steering nozzel

does the seapoo cable ends need a different ball?

the ball comes pressed into the cable end hence the heim joint. similar to a tierod end . like i said they are also found on the steering of the yami suv.
