I think djkorn was lookinginto doing thisto one of his boats. I would look for this in the pwctoday.com site. There is a lot more info there on this subject and I think there is a vendor for the custom shaft you need for it also. I think I'm gonna build one of these here in the feauture

if your gonna do it, make sure to get a later year motor. the earlier ones were ticking time bombs and none of them like water ingestion

I believe the only change made to later motors was some protective cover over the pipe (or somewhere) to keep water from spraying directly into the air intakes.

with out looking at the link, I think its the 98 and later motors and with a few mods... yes tweeker will have you doing 68+ mph at your local lake on a reliable ski. If thats worse sign me up. That is the only way I would ever run a sea doo is if it makes me abke to smoke those dam couches on the lake... and with a standup none the less. I wonder what this would do in the surf. a reliable 951 with a snorkel on the low mounted carbs to bring it up. What is it? 140 hp stock? and with some porting and minor work!!!! a gp class standup. Sorry guys, I just came out of retirement of being a bar back for all I could drink:beerchug:

Other than the change from the white motor to the silver one in 1998 the 951 remained the same throughout production, stock hp was 130,in 98 they changed the airbox design to one with snorkel intakes that took in air at the top of the cylinder head, the path that air has to travel to reach the cylinder is quite long, snorkel intakes would be an easy mod and you could put the intakes wherever you wanted them. These engines are not ticking time bombs as a matter of fact I have only seen one destroyed,a new set of cases,a rebuilt crankshaft and pistons and rings and it was back together and still runs 60 mph = to this very day, that was built close to 10 years ago.I couldn't count the number of Yamaha 1100-1200 engines I have seen totally destroyed on both hands and both feet combined.

Ignition systems for the seadoo 951 what have you guys heard ? advent / msd loss or ..........also exhaust There is a guy on on green hulk who saids stock exhaust works great , does anyone still make and 951 single exhaust ? or does anyone out there have the coffman or Rossier ?

I think Tweeker has a Rossier for sale right now on pwctoday. The Coffman is the preferred pipe though.

I had both, the Coffman was a better pipe for the XPL. However, if you're looking for low end snap, the Rossier is better (The Rossier is hard to find and usually worth decent $).

I would be hesitant of that guy! I bought a 750 pump he claimed was in great shape. Well the stator veins were ground down 1/4"! I am like WTF?! I asked if the pump was good, stators not knicked up and he said yeah great shape will work in any Kaw 750... Also the Skat prop had all kinds of clearence between the wear ring. So I ask for a refund and he agreed claiming he never used the pump and it was a spare. Said it has been sitting around... I sent it back and the a hole hasn't responded once to my emails. So I filed a PayPal claim. He has until August 13th. Yet I am out of 270 bucks in the mean time...

WTF!?
