I have a Rulemate bilge with a float switch.. It spits out any water that leaks in... If you install the scupper right it will BARELY leak if at all unless your ski is half out of the water.

I just spoke to Blowsion and he said that All scuppers leak. From a safety standpoint, "if you leave your ski in the water all night it will sink." I think that I am goiing to stay with the duck bill for now, as it was ok last year. I tend to leave my ski tied up for a little while in the waves. I'll ride some, then tie up and go relax, eat lunch, then go back out. I have not been leaving my bilge on, I guess I should be.

I agree with you on the duck bill leaking. So far, so good though. I think if you replace it every year it won't leak as much. I should order a spare.
I also included a pict of the new air block off, and the extra hole I drilled in the rear for letting extra water out, or air in. I may make it larger, totally remove that whole flat area, after some ride time. Since I am still learning to ride, I spend some time in the water so I want to keep as much out of the hull as possible.

Ok, So I think I'm going Kawi neon green on the rail caps. Everyone except myself and my wife seem to like the green. We were both thinking black, but everyone seems to think that it looks too much like stock. Any other feed back? I am hoping to get it painted on Saturday morning.

Here is what I finished over the weekend. Cutting by the exhaust, freaked me out, but it was no big deal as long as you know it's there. The footwells are all System Three epoxied in, and staniless screwed down. The blowsion composite rails are 3M 5200 caulked in and 400 wet sanded. I let it dry till Sunday and then ground down the footwells for the 26 lb. fiberglass matting. Now I'm just waiting for them to set up, so I can grind them down for the Hydro Turf. It's getting cold outside, so I put some spot lights near them to keep them above freezing for the next few days. Hopefully some more grinding and maybe some foam and paint this weekend! If it ever warms up again. Thanks again everyone! I would have been lost without all the help!:hail:

Yea, I'm goin' Green! The paint should already be mixed up at the shop. Jimmy "Shine" is gonna lay it down for me as soon as he can squeeze me in. He does awesome work, I wish he was going to paint the whole thing! Now I wish my FP would get here!

Should I add a front foot strap mount while I have the turf off??? I was thinking of doing it like Yamasluts. Dakine, with acorn nut welded to a large washer. Maybe just put it in for now and then as I get more used to the ski, give it a try. Any suggestions would be appreciated!!!

Where should I put them on an SXR? I usually stand left foot forward. I welded up 4 nuts and washers today. I'm thinking like Sluts, 2 on each side and one a little forward of the other for adjustment? Also which Dakine footstraps? Do they require two nuts each, or one each footstrap?

I was just going to put one up the front left, put my right foot in the holds, thats how I already ride most of the time anyway. Check out sluts thread for the type of strap, I think I asked him in there I forget now.

Thanks! It was my first time doing footholds, so I guess it took me a little longer than I expected, but so far I am pretty happy. I just foamed them in last night and put epoxy over the holes to seal them up. Hopefully ready for paint. I'll post some picts later.

Looks like you're doing a great job. :woot: I see that you may be waiting on adding an aftermarket pole due to the cost. What you may want to do in the meantime is throw on a set of 0 degree UMIs, run you about 45 bucks or so, and you'll love the difference over the stockers. And as far as the duckbills go, even if they're new, all it takes is a pebble, a nut, a piece of a ziptie, or other scupper-bait, and blub blub blub. So yeah, definitely leave an automatic bilge going if you're gonna park it in the water for any amount of time.
