SXR: Internal Fuel Fill???

get yourself a 550 gas tank. low capacity, great for internal fill.

sounds about right. its no where near 5.

who needs 5 gallons. thats the number 1 way to cut weight. less gas!

DJ-U and I are runnin bout the same set up-and I'm w/u-I need 5 gal of gas-it really blows for 1st 15 minutes havin all that weight in the nose-but I'd spend all day w/a gas can in my hand if I went w/550 tank. I had 1 and it was 3.5 gal. If I do anything for weight in nose-I'm goin w/different water box-the SXR water box is about equal to a 1/2 ton pick up truck hidden in nose of SXR. Only prob is I aint found no aftermarkets yet, and aint real sure what else would work. Of course if I decide to piss off everyone w/in 3 miles of me I could always do the classic water box-Peice of straight pvc pipe!!! Kills top end but really beefs up the low end and don't weigh much at all-just loud as hell!!!

I am hacking 1 1/2 inches off of the back of my ride plate...I rode Rambo:cheer: Rosie's ski and it did lift the front end up a little... It just makes it feel lighter...
Yeah, I might try to make some noise too...:aargh4:Actually, I am definately going to try my ski with no water box...I'll still run the exhaust around the gas tank and see how it sounds...

I cut 3" off a stk ride plate and luv it!!!!!! I did a striaght cut though-not the 'D' cut out. Let me know on the 'no water box' thing. U goin to Lanier?
If so-look 4ward 2 meetin u.

Cool, then I'm gonna chop 2". I still do a lot of cruisin.. We don't get too many waves in Cleveland. I am not trying the waterbox until after Lanier...

Maybe an old 750 waterbox will help with weight... those aren't too heavy.

KEEP IN MIND-I also have a stk length stk ride plate for those days my wife decides we gotta cheese around the lake. I've ridden w/my shorty-love it for stabs and stuff but would REALLY blow for cruisin.

I'll try the 'pvc' pipe water box and let u know-probaly try it next weekend.
Did it on my 750sx and it was loud as hell w/rear exhaust outlet ony-sxr has rear and rt frt outlet-I'm thinkin it's gonna be toooooo dam loud-but I'll find out.

Did your front exhaust do anything except make the front of your hull dirty? Whats the point of it (except tail stands)??

Tail stalls is the only real advantage-In my little world of fantasy I'm thinkin
I might be able to t.s. up and down several times going deeper in water each time and coming further out each time until I am hogh enuf out of water to pull a 180 degree backflip out of a tail stall into a stab.-Probaly never happen-but I'm gonna try real hard. I put my frt exhaust just below bumper on rt frt-05 ski so bottom half hull is black anyway-also angled it w/ a litttle turn down
to help not stain the white top deck. I took my water box out last night and put a piece of pvc pipe in line-gonna ride it tomorrow-I'll let u know-it sounds like AZZZZZZZ on the trailer-REAL LOUD and obnoxious-I'm all about some noise but this is some full blown redneck noise!!!

Blowsion makes internal fill.
As for no water box, it going slow boat down due to no back pressure and piss everybody at the lake off. Try tdr, he might make an aftermarket 1 or maybe Pat at x-metal can make 1.
