SXR hood options

been outta the game for a while, and my stock hood is in shambles from thousands of failed roll attempts. i was wondering who is making aftermarket hoods for an sxr, i know of trinity but i am not throwing down a grand for his hood. are there any cheaper options out there

Trinity also makes a $600 version. Thats what I have and am VERY happy with it. Light and super strong

Why a limited 701? Madmats limited 701 in his Lightweight SXR is the EXACT same speed as my stock SXR motor with a pipe and flywheel. (We raced and were exactly the same, bottom to top)

who rides a stock hulled SXR these days anyways?

Sell EVERYTHING, buy a trinity, throw a limited 701 in there and call it a life.

I am just in it for fun, I am not interested in spending 7k on a hull. And why sell my motor and put a yamaha in it? My motor makes way more power and I already have it? It's not gonna be a crazy worl beater freestyle ski, just something I built and have a good time and haulin some ass on.

gas life and low end. getting an hour and a half on my TS 828 Stroker compared to my hour on my sxr motor is amazing.

But lets not turn this into a 701 vs. 800 thread.

Bob, I dont remember the pricing but I think goingbigger's Quickstyle Motorsports (I think thats the name) was making a lowered hood for the SXR and also Speed Magic makes a pretty sweet one to if you decide against the trinity. Again I'm not sure on prices though.

What I meant by the motor was that a close to lightly modified SXR motor or 701 in a lighter hull will give you just as much speed etc but still be reliable as hell.
