you would be better off going with the TBM turnplate with the pivot bolt that lets you move the steering closer. or swapping the pole to an X Metalworks pole and steering setup.

Those stock poles crack fast, you might be better off finding a superjet 96'+ stock pole and shorten it, a much better looking, stronger pole and easy to cut. You'll just need wider bushing. Blowsion has them, most aftermarket SXR poles are Superjets poles.

If you get a superjet pole of any kind you will have to buy a lower mount, or at least modify some parts. Not too difficult, just an unexpected hassle

A.) Buy a kawi 750 SUB PLATE assembly. The mounting bolt is an inch forward compared to a stock sxr.

OR

Buy an RD sub shaft that you can bolt onto your SXR SUBPLATE, achieving an extra inch forward.

B.) If you have UMI bars, or any bar with a V neck in it, move them forward until they hit the bearing assembly, its aso an inch. Drill 4 new holes and bolt them down

You will also have to weld a tab onto your stock turnplate to move your steering cable knuckle back an inch t compensate for moving it forward. Unless you want to cut your cable, which I would'nt.

If you use Xmetal type straight bars with NO neck, you will get even more out of it. RD also sells a similair handlebar.

Its cheap, easy, and works great. I have a few setups ready to go if your interested. PM me if you are, Im not on here often in the summer.
