i got attacked by a swan when i was riding back in the uk... it was the male protecting a nest at the corner of the lake... right by one of the bouys on the course.. it was the one bouy that always caught you out... i came off.. when my head popped up the swan flew at my head and side swiped me... wasnt funny.. they are big birds...

,, in the end it became sport pump washing teh swan as you went around the course!

Amusing... and interesting.

What I thought was interesting is that after the riders fell off the ski - the damn bird went after the ski and not the riders!

Ballsy! lol

I got attacked by a swan once on my old 97 GP12....same thing as steve..got too close to the nest and that thing freaking came down on me like a bomber..

had that ski pinned WFO looked over my shoulder only to see a 5 foot wingspan right behind me

Swan's are dangerous and they can do quite a bit of damage to a human. That ski did look quite a bit like a swan in an aggressive posture from the rear

When we were much younger, say 10 or 11, my buddy and I would go Canada Goose hunting with our fathers. They would sit on a rise in blinds and hit the night flight as they came in low to land in the fields and our job was to round up the downed birds. There is nothing quite like tackling a 30lb wounded bird and twisting it's head off, lol. When they get flapping their wings they can beat the chit out a kid.

DO NOT RUN THEM OVER! Swans in the spring become very territorial and will guard against anybody who comes close to there baby mama. We had some kids go and do donuts and nonsense around some swan baby's and it pissed off daddy for life. The swan would attack any pwc that even started its engine on the whole lake. It eventually knocked and elderly lady off of a pwc and nearly drowned her. The DNR had to come down and kill it and then there were roomers of anti pwc talks at the lakes board meetings. NOT GOOD.
