Satellite Beach is abut 5 miles from me and is about 3x the size of Daytona right now. Waves are always better over here........I always thought it would be cool to live on the beach and have an electric winch so that I could use a beach buggy and just push the ski down into the water, and winch that biotch back up anytime. That would be pimp shizzle!

Satellite Beach has nothing to offer that Dayotna or Smyrna doesn't have... It's the next beach south of Smyrna/Bethune, so how could it be 3x bigger??? That is absolutely wrong. If anything You will see bigger surf at a Pier or Inlet. On occasion Satellite Beach may have bigger surf, just like Daytona sometimes has bigger surf than Sat. It all depends on the direction of swell, length of fetch, tide and local wind conditions... I know for sure the most consistant wave in Florida is New Smyrna (Ponce Inlet). All the surfing publications I have read always say that...

Another thing... You all down south have to contend w/ the Bahamas stealing all your SE swell too... We have a much bigger swell window than you and technically speaking that mkaes for more consistant larger surf...

Damn man...... I was just going by those pics. Right now it looks like chest to shoulder high sets. Yea, New symrna does go off.

Satellite beach goes off though it is a rock break, only good for surfing.

I would say though that on average Satellite is bigger then Daytona, but New Symrna and Seb. inlet are probaby the best.

Like you said, all depends on the swell, i was reffering to Daytona vs Satellite, I forgot about New Symrna.

I don't agree w/ that though... No reason satellite would be bigger... Only factors I see make it a smaller break... Oh well, it's surf and we live near it
