So I have to ask. Has anyone duffed a back flip in shallow water? On a few occasions I have landed on my head off of boats and just held on and got pushed under witht the ski.

I am affraid if I come up short, even at 6 oclock, that I am gonna kill myself in shallower water. Im hearing that the surf in Daytona is in thigh high water.

I posted some pics of of slutty caving in the front of his ski at pwctoday, I don't have access to pwctoday at work.

saying daytona is thigh high is an exaduration. you can flip the outside break, it will be deaper there.

I'll be bringing some replacement noses just incase though.

ok..... :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Saki keeps prepetuating this BS w/ jokes, but people don't understand that he's just FOS half the time... The beach in daytona has a gradual slop and has sand bars like any sand bottom break. It's not an issue if you pay attention and have marginal riding skillz. That's probably why saki is soo scared

you must not actually believe that the entire beach is thigh high water... I mean how would that be possible???? If the ocean slants down at a slope to deeper water, how could it be thigh high everywhere????

I was reffering to the break. As much as I want to pull backflips half way to Ireland, id rather stick around where there is life.

This my sound dumb to all the beach-living-surf-having-back-flipping-all-the-time-people, but if you launch off the wave when it's almost vertical to backie don't you land on the top of it where there's deeper water anyway?

Hey, I'm from Kansas and only seen surf 6 or 10 times in my life. So go easy.

Very true surf newbie :haha: , the water is always gonna be deeper on the back side of a wave, which is why botched re-entries suck more then anything, but I've never heard of anyone hitting the sand with their head. That would suck:frown: Its usually always deeper then that, but nosing the ski into the sand does suck and your ski don't like it either.
With smaller surf just make sure to hit the wave later then sooner, and talk to Yamaslut before you do anything. I'm sure he knows that break better then anyone.
