Ok, here's what you need to do
Install your factory B, ltd pipe..waterbox and exhaust hose just like any other time. REmove the battery box
There will be about 2" between the pipe stinger and opening to the waterbox so you will have to trim the hose. One of those silicone FPP hoses might work great, but we did this with what we had on hand
I used a roundnose waterbox in my boat, it sits in there at a funny angle but is strapped down nice and tight. An Xmetal waterbox woudl probably fit perfectly. Make sure the long exhaust hose isnt kinked..you might have to trim your long hose as well..I had to trim mine at both ends..once for length, the 2nd time was due to a kink..measure twice, cut once.
Here is the key..Hull clearancing
If you look at the pictures, you can see "notches" in the edge of the motor compartment....I ground away the very outside edge of the lip, on the starboard side and forward aspect
this will not reduce the structural integrity....its a very thin edge that gives the compartment a squared off look. In fact, next time I have the motor out Im going to grind that little lip 360 aroound to give a little more room
it wil also make fitment of the tank easier as I could have gone a bit more when did the job originally
that is the key to the whole process....that, and having a 2nd set of hands to make things easier.
Now your full exhaust and waterbox is in, and your lip is ground out.
a mod chamber will fit with a superjet tank, or a stock tank
a limited chamber will fit ONLY with a superjet tank due to the tank design
The next step is to have a 2nd person pinch the long exhaust hose against the hull right above the battery box...While its pinched take the superjet tank and twist it CW while pushing down on it...
it will slip past the exhaust hose and fall right into place....we sprayed a bit of silicone on the exhaust hose to make it slick and it clicked right into place.
I tried to do it on my own for about an hour one night..but I couldnt get it past the hose, push and twist all at the same time.
The battery box will fit right back into the stock location, you might have to trim the front left corner a bit..not much though
I use a battery wedged between the tank and front cover..for this option you will need to use a mini battery
there you have it
