How dose the 08/09 superjet compare to the sxr 800? Does the superjet turn as well now with the added sponsons and hull shape?

How does the pre 08/09's compare to the 08/09 superjets or sxr?

I'm thinking about buying a new ski and would love to hear what people like and dislike about these skis?

I currently ride a fx-1 and like the power, but have only ridden a modded kawi 440 and 550.

What kind of riding are you going to do? If your coming from an FX1, an SXR will be too heavy..... go with a pre 08 Superjet.

They are the most nimble and most like your fx1. Get one with all the goodies in it all ready. Make sure it has BPipe, footholds, steering, bars, intake grate and rideplate and your all good!

For the 2000 less than the price of a brand new SJ or SXR you can get a decked out pre08 SJ that would cost you over 10g's to get new.

Superjet. I have both. The SXR is big and heavy. I like the Superjet. I do not have the 08 but rode one and love it but still prefer the 1996-07 with Blowison tubbies best.

I just bought an 01 superjet today. It's in good condition with a milled head, flame arrestors, factory b pipe (wet pipe not dry, not sure if dry would be lots better or not, do you know how much hp each gives?), wider handlebar, nicer aluminum throttle lever, top loader intake, about 3 in extended ride plate, some kind of box thing that changes the ignition curve and rev limit, some turf inside the tray and on the sides and 2 extra sets of turf for the ski, sponsons (on the rear sides, what are tubbie sponsons?).

I rode it and like you said it's not that different from the fx1 in a way. It is soo much more stable though. I could top it out on a smooth lake with no signs of purpoising. It didn't feel like a tank when turning hard either. It really felt quite similar to the fx when turning hard. It still looses hook up when leaning over at about the same point my fx looses hook if I remember correctly.

The tray feels so much bigger than the fx tray.
