Custom/Hybrid superfreak ride plate recomendation

I am in the process of building a glass freak, just wondering what people are using for ride plates? i mainly ride surf/freeride, thanks for any info.

Im running a stock plate cut flush and d cut on mine makes it just a little slippery which I like. In many cases have to shave the top of the plate to accomodate the pump in places.

I have the same thing. I haven't experimented with much else, but this set up seems so good I haven't felt the need to try anything else.

I run a rocker'd ride plate Tem made for me, flush with the -4.3 hull. Works great even in surf.

did you have to cut a hole in it for the pump

No, it fit just fine. The pump does touch the plate, but I had to shim the plate a little anyhow to make it flush with the bottom of the hull. Even without it, it fit without cutting.

tim has more then one style plate. i seen where he makes them the same from side to side.
