Painted my motor tractor yellow
Looks like a little diesel industrial motor now lol
Still have to do detailing with a black brush and wish I would've left the intake manifold black
Going in my yellow bottomed EME thoigh

I hook ratchet straps up from those two L's to run over top of my gas tank and than hook it them back into another set of L's that are bolted into the glass.

It was easier for me to put the brackets on the motor than to glass in threads, so for now that's what it's going to be lol.

Could u not made a plastic bit to glue the strap holder instead?

Use a cutboard from kitchen and trim it . Works great. Never a Good idé to bolt something there if u loose a bit

I've tried using body epoxy to attach them to the hull but it always gets weak from the aviation fuel that ends up in the hull occasionally. Always seems to pop off. It's been like a year and I haven't had an issue with the bolts coming loose or anything like that. But I get what you're saying, I'll look into it for sure

I hold my fuel tank the same way. But no brackets. I bolt the strap straight to the flywheel cover.
