Stop focussing on getting the bolt out and focus on getting the manifold out from under the bolt.

1) Remove the rest of the bolts and drive the manifold down and out from under the last bolt. It'll scrap the gasket but who cares at this point!

2)If it's just the one bolt left won't the whole manifold rotate? Trap the bolt head with vise grips and rotate the whole thing.

3) attempting either of the first 2 methods will probably reveal an even better solution.

Good luck!

you need a wrench that fits in there..most dont..the 10mm wrench that come with the stock yami tool kit works good..or you can grind one down...if you were trying to use a regular wrench that was probably the problem

what surprised me was that it was a 10mm... mine were 12mm. either the head of bolt is smaller or heli-coiled the holes to use a 10mm bolt.

12mm if using the stock manifold bolts (I did it last weekend). My bolt was getting rounded off after a few attemts with my thinned Craftsman open end wrench. I even closed the opened end a hair with a hammer to get a snug fit and still no go. I dont know why I didn't think abouth this before and I am sure its common knowledge..... Use a modified box end. I don't know why I didn't mod one to begin with??? With the box end it popped right off without a fuss. This wrench is thin though, about 2mm thick is all.

If you mod a wrench I think its a good idea to take it slow, as not to overheat the metal and lose the temper.
