Surfriding Stupid carbon fiber question

Ok, I am reinforcing my SN superjet and I have made up the templates and cut out the glass. My plan was to use the same templates to cut out a layer of carbon fiber to top it off with and just make it look nice. Issue I am having is how do you transfer a pattern to the carbon? I have tried paint markers, crayon, chalk, and have tried the blue tape but it just pulls the carbon to pieces. There has to be something that I can use to trace onto the carbon and I am hoping someone here can help.

Thanx

When I did my ski I made a template out of construction paper you can buy at any hobby store and placed it on top of the carbon fiber then just used a exacto knife to cut it out, Couldnt have turned out better

Flash, thanx, I had seen that post but it seemed like a lot of extra work and stuff to go purchase when all i needed was a way to draw on the carbon fiber, once i had the pattern traced it cut really well and I am happy with the results.

Munki63, that sounds like it would have worked as well, I made my templates out of some cheap fabric from the fabric store so it would lay down similar to the glass mat and carbon but had to cut them out on the dinning room table so a razor was out of the question.

Thank you all for the replies, just waiting on more resin from US composites and I can get this thing all laid up and back together. I will post a build thread once I have some actual progress to report.
