Creative RE Purchasing
I really hope it was not anyone in our PWC community at pismo that did it, but a gas can was stolen out of the back of my friends pickup. I had to leave sunday morning so I left my buddy geoff a full tank of gas. He said he put in that back of his Black F250 and put a strap around it so it wouldn't float around the bed of the truck. He arrived at the beach and was away from his truck for most of the day due to watching the contest. He said when he went back to his truck in the middle of the day he saw that some one didn't even unattatch the strap the straight cut it and jacked the gas tank. That is :bs2: both he and I felt like :shooter3: the crap out of who ever did. I hope they put in their car b/c it was already pre mixed.

thats why i always premix anything i leave in the back of my truck. just in case someone decides to take it. havent had it happen to me but a friend of my had his stolen in mich. good luck finding who did it.

Sorry to hear this - we had all sorts of valuables out and it could have easily been the 20 gallons of race fuel I brought as well...which was unmixed and still sealed inthe can.

Unfortunately, when you get 65,000 people on a public beach, there's bound to be a few dirtbags in the bunch.

I don't think that little bit of oil would even slow a car down at all. would it? That is why I write in big letters PRE-MIX on my can so maybe someone not in the know would pass on some funked up gas. maybe I should write biodiesel or kerosene on it instead. I don't think too many people use it in Fla.

yea it really makes no difference. you might foul a plug but i even doubt that.

my buddy and i ran 5gals of 50:1 in a go cart and it ran like a champ.

Maybe you should write "bad gas" on the cans you leave alone. that might make a theif think twice

Bad for catalytic converter

mixed fuel will not damage the vehicle in short term. It will eventually cause the CC to fail as the heat built up with the residual oil in the exhaust burns up the core.

That sucks man. I lock everything down when I'm in California. It's not like the Oregon Coast where you can leave your beach house unlocked and your truck unlocked and nothing grows legs.

I'll remind you that a beach cart was stolen at this year's Beach Party.
