stock pitch of the prop?

I think they are all the same and they all suck really bad.

I don't know the pitch though. I would guess it is a -0 suck/suck.

Actually I think the stock prop is a 13/16.

Isn't that what people say to get for freeride? What sucks about the stock impeller? Can it be fixed/modded by Impros? What is better about a stainless impeller (stronger?) over an aluminum one (lighter?)? Somebody educate me please.

aluminum props actually flex where as the SS props do not. (ok maybe they do, but its not moving much)

Also the aluminum is thicker, and so it takes up more room in the pump, where as the ss is thinner and takes up less room, and that makes for more room for water... (that I'm not 100% sure about, but makes sense to me...)

Not so sure about that, that would make the theory behind the mag pump not work?

It's the actual design of the impeller, for example, skat traks and concords, some people like one or the other even at the same pitch and cutback. Impros recommends the concord by the way.

I find it hard to believe that a stock SJ imp is 13/16.

They suck really really bad. I mean really bad so how can this be?

Although the pitch is the same, if you look at them, the design is totally different. The stock SJ props are the worst I have ever seen.

At least my SXR comes stock with a Solas Swirl impellor.

Thats right even though 2 props have the same pitch doesnt mean they will perform the same. Look at the differences between the stock sj prop and the solas concord prop. Look at the leading edges and blade thickness. Alot of little things can make a huge difference

I have thrown 2 stock SJ props in to a garbage can.

I kinda regret it. I guess I could have gotten 9 bucks each on EBAY:frown:
