30$ wat are they drunk??:argue:

i thinhk i am going to use the umi bearing with the xmetal bars and turnplate if the red locktight doesnt work

I had my machine shop make mine from a shaft collar from McMaster but Ill tell you what, if you have the problem of that nut coming loose every time you ride it is worth every penny.

Shaft collar cost roughly $5-7 bucks, labor to drill and tap say 1/4 hour $15 to $20 bucks the price is totally in line and then you still need to make some profit. I didn't even add in machining the flats.

Lots of people I ride with have the same problem with loosening nut with umi.

I fix umi nut problem by replacing umi provided nut with 2 thin jam nuts and red locktite.

Is there a way to re-inforce so it doesnt crack, how much is a replacement?
listen to beach junkie, he speaks the truth. when you modify the nozzle, make sure to sand off all rough edges. The plastic is prone to cracking.

mark 44- where do you get the nut in your post?

I've seen dozens run for years modded and never seen one crack but a spare or new one is <$20 new I think.

umi or any sort of metal bearing system is a waste of $$$ if you are around salt, imo. there're other options like stock or xmw, not sure what else.
