Anyone have a better pic of this little bracket? I dloaded this from PWCT a while back. Is this yours SUPERJETT?

I'm about to make one and I was just wondering what the exact dimensions were.

I don't think that bracket is necessary, just re-drill the hole on the nozel. I have this on both my skis.

Even easier!!!! Does it work as good?

Like a charm! I did this mod per the suggestion of RossC and LBE.

I did mine just a little different than eddie in that mine is moved in and up...err, toward the back of the ski.

For quicker/more throw, move the cable in on the nozzle and out on the turn plate. Just be sure you check all clearances and still hit your steering stop and not just max out your cable length.

nah... moving in will give more throw if you think about....

are you guys that do this doing it in addition to having a quick steer unit like UMI steering?

I think my UMI on the outter hole is squirly enough for me, I can't imagine the steering being more sensitive.

moving the nipple in on the steering nozzle gives you more throw.....IF you notch the nozzle. If you only move the nipple in, your steering nozzle will hit the exit nozzle on the pump. I only notched the nozzle just enough that it clears the exit nozzle, and doesn't blow by when fully turned.

Given that, if you think about it, it will also give you quicker steering. If stop to stop on your steering moved your nozzle a given distance....and you increase that distance...it HAS to move faster to attain the new distance from stop to stop.

Funny, when you get your steering super sensitive and you ride someone else's that's not . . . you fall over for no reason because you mind tells you "this" much will turn you, but it doesn't. For that reason alone, I really don't much care to ride other skis. I also have my truning way off to one side, so when I ride someone elses ski I feel like I should be going straight, but I'm turning.

I've always made a plate out of aluminum angle iron that I riveted on the back. I also filled the bottom in with JB weld - I'd turn the nozzle upside down and fill it with JB weld - then you could put a rivet through the back into the jb weld-filled void, or even tap the jb weld and run a bolt or screw through it.

I always moved the steering point forward and in.
