I have a trim system on my superjet and need to extend the steering cable about an inch or so. I made a bracket that I have been using for a while, but would like something a little better. So does anyone have a part number and a place to get one? I looked at McmasterCarr and didnt see one.

If you don't want to mess with the actual ball end, you can re-locate the cable attach point (at the pump bulkhead) with one of these MIP x FIP adapters. It also helps by moving a little bit of the steering cable out of the engine bay (if you run a shorter handle pole), reducing the bunch-up. Bottom line.....moves the rear attach point of the cable back about 1".

Great idea! I shortened my pole on my FX1 a little more than 2-3/4" and I'm doing a 144mm pump swap with a Kawasaki X2 trim nozzle and this will be a good alternative to the 1" cable extension and it will keep the extra cable length from the shortened pole as you stated. Thanks for the link.
