I've read several posts about temp of pisser water. I've been running my ski for a couple of weeks now (since a rebuild). Performance is great, but I'm concerned with the pisser water temp. Last night when I put it up, after about a 1/2 hour ride, the pisser water was steaming! I've got a 4mm restrictor on the exit. Riding in GA. Water temp is mid 70's. So I'll pull the restrictor. The plumbing from the head to pipe has a mild crimp from the angle I ran it, but there's good flow coming from pisser?? Any ideas or concerns? Got a TL set w/30* advance, ADA 35cc head, limited Bpipe (top open 3/4 turn w/ mid and bottom closed. Lemme know.

If you can put your hand in the water while the ski is running for a couple seconds, you are fine man. Even a little hotter than that would be fine. You have to remember, the smoke clearing out of your exhaust will also be coming out of the pisser for a while after it's been turned off. Even the warm water in there evaporating out is going to look like a little bit of something.

i was going to say a small head gasket leak abut you said ski is running great,do a compression check or backflush cooling system from rear of ski

I forgot!
is the pisser flowing constant or is it sputtering? if it is sputtering and extra steamy and made your ski sound a little different you could have a head leak. these are the symptoms i had a few weeks back when i blew an o-ring in the head. did not notice any power decrease but i am sure there was with burning water and all.

He has a restrictor on the cooling line. I told him to take it out. Pablo and his thread are retarded. That ski hits like a mutha f'er, though.

carb adjustment for the reason that he may be running a little lean. causing the water to steam from the extra cylinder heat

If your ski is running too hot and you have a restrictor I would say remove the restrictor .
Adjusting your carbs would not make much of a difference on motor temp .Advice should be taken lightly around here .
