SXR Stator Cover Gasket OR OOOOOO Ring

So ive been doing a little work on friends skis and my own lately and it seems like every and I mean every stator cover with an O ring leaks like a siv and destroys the bendix creats rusted death on the stator, flywheel even if they are covered in gasket goop. So Ive tried my first stator gasket with a light coat of rtv.

Who has had this problem and how did you fix it ?

Your doing something wrong. Kawasaki has the best stator/flywheel cover going. Use some waterproof grease on "O" ring and you will be fine.

Im not doing anything its all the people who build crappy motors. I will leave out who built my motor but even that person who supposedly knew what they were doing messed it up.

I've never had one leak in 13 years...the o rings work great. I don't even replace them...just clean them up really good....if they look a little kinked or something, I put a lil 1211 on it and I'm done.
