The part with the nut on it should unscrew from the rest of the housing , inside you can probably clean the contacts with some fine sandpaper and contact cleaner and it will work again.

Nevermind figured it out. It looks like the rubber piece acts as a spring load system to engage contact. Mine looks pretty worn out. Which is causing the unwanted starting at random times.

Ill let you know. Gonna try and find a carb spring or something to make it work. Gonna take the other side apart and see if I can find a match at a hardware store.

Okay well I can confirm if you have a bn carb spring laying around it will work. Its a lighter spring but seems to function.

A spring out of a click type pen may suit you better , it's not stainless but it is similar in size and stiffer.
