Great video. It's no big deal if it is a long down load, just do what I did. Started the download on lunch break. Came home from work just now and there it was waiting for me. Definitely was a great weekend, it's nice having pics and video to look back on someday. Masterblaster will have to let someone else do some shooting next time so that he can get in the vid also. That crap always happens to me also. I'll have to tell my grandkids someday, "I used to jetski, I swear, There are just no pics to prove it"

jerry,works great for you doesnt it,errr apple just screws me up every time,but in its defence,when i did see them the res was great and you are the man at editing,I can tell its more of a art to you, with the edit,for me its more of an art filming it getting good angles and close ups and relaying what it felt like that day,editing is just a afterthought to me.I can tell ya really put alot into the editing,thats just not my thing.

Thanks, that is a huge compliment to me. I only started editing back in Dec when we first shot some video. I spent a lot of time learning the software, and putting other creative experiences to use.

Often for us, it's quite the opposite. We are normally so amped to ride, the filming is kind of an after thought. When I'm reviewing I'm normally thinking, damn, I wish we had got that shot better. As a direct result, it often takes some creative editing to make the footage even useable.

I also am lucky enough to have some good friends who are very good with film. I have learned that a decent 8 minute clip can often be a great 4 minute clip.

When I get to my shop, I'll check out the video on my PC.

Yea I hear ya on that,It is a sacrifice to be the film man the intire time,When I go out to shoot,I try not to jump at all,just be in the best place and the best time for the shot. I went out and scoped it the first session and it was just to exciting to take the hel cam out next session,So I took it out the 3rd session,but of corse later wished I had it the second,because it was scary GLASSY a little earlier

Saki,yea alot of times when i film here we switch up and shoot each other,Butti switched up with me on my last epic pontoon day at vilano and got some great footage of me rolling when I was just learning the trick.He is pretty good at it also,I was trying to get him to switch up with me for this vid but he was in his own little world that day and dont think wanted to come off the SJ convertion:sneaky: Its all good id of been sittin on shore without his b1,soooooooooooooo:woot: was happy to be there and get to ride those awsome conditions on a epic beautifull day.
shooting with the hel cam is harder than it looks,you really have to be on top of things to get good close usable footage and interesting perspectives,some of the guys here are good at it and others,uhhhh not so much.butti took it out one of his first times and really dropped the ball,actually it was kinda funny,It has a lanc remote that has a green and red light on it just like a camcorder,He was hitting the button to green thinking it was record and red to stop,:haha: Watching the vid right before each jump the film would stop,and then it would be recording for all the toolin round crap,It was a trip.
but he redemed himself later and got all my rolls on vid:biggthumpup:

Its way cool you realize the role of the pontoon,it totally makes or breaks the day.Its alot of trouble for charlie to bring it out EVERY ride also,so big props to him for that,Ill make a post later from a copy and paste about all the benefeits of having it even in the perfect riding spot with beach access

from the pontoon, with the camera that I just bought its not all that bad.....

the 30x zoom ReALLY helps, and with image stabilization its actually USEABLE as well......if charlie were to pilot while filming, Ill bet we coudl get some good stuff as well......


has anyone ever tried filiming from a zodiac?



butti is the only one of the crew down there that has filmed outside of torr with the helmet cam...

.......im down with turns for camwork though (at least until the girls are properly trained :cool2: )

I'm here... just lurking as I don't have much time to post at work? I STILL can't download the vid due to an error everytime saying the connection with the server was interupted???? Can't wait to ride this weekend will the Olliemeister! :cool2:

usually when jerry and the guys go out to film its not one person filming all day. jerry does do a lot of the filming, but the camera changes hands 4 or 5 times through out the day.
