I didn't ride out of any of the rolls so I don't think they count. It was my first real session on a sj in the surf and It went well (I havn't really even ridden a SJ that much on flat water). I was doing no handers and can-cans, a LOT of half rolls and a couple 3/4 + rolls.

The SJ conversion is awesome! it's everything I hoped it would be. :arms:

I even gave rusty a couple of battle scars on my first voyage with her :headbang:

Sounds like everyone had a blast! Congrats to everyone hope you recover soon primetime. I actualy had some fun surfing on Sunday, It was waist to chest all day long about 30 miles north of Sebastain.....I was mad pissed not to make it to the freeride......I know some guys who went out to Sebastain, havnt called to see how that went. I think the Lustic brothers were "suppose" to have gone out.

i know there were a few action pics taken from Rob's boat just outside the break..hopefully rob can post them or send them to yamaslut for posting, ..etc..

there was not enough surf/depth for backflips, but i did at least try to step it up by joining yamaslut in the 'superjet nothings' club... that is a sweet trick! big ups to slutty for pushing me on that one.

werd... I'll post em.

lol.. luckily for alot of us, it didnt get that aggressive.. we just focused on riding and having a good time out there mainly.. the planets were not aligned properly for a kick-in-the-nuts session.. :17:

the water were the biggest sets were breaking was only about 6' deep, less in the trough before a wave.. so it was a little too sketchy for me for backys.. i just didnt want to spend the next 2 weeks sanding/glassing  :frown: :bs2: so, 'in the spirit' i at least committed to doing something new this weekend.. :17: ...the backy eludes me again... :17:
I know for sure with no BS that every wave I rode up to that had any chance of helping me roll I made an attempt. there were lots of pancakes and inverted subs with a couple of 3/4 mixed in. I hit bottom a lot and got to see stars in the daytime once :1244:
