St. Augustine ride spots

I'll be in St. Augustine starting next weekend for vacation. Anybody want to get together and ride? I've heard about the 'secret spot' there, but also saw a thread about it being shut down. I'll be staying at 131 Green Rd. in St. Augustine. There's a boat ramp right next to the house, but it looks like a long ride to one of the inlets. Any other spots that are easy to launch that are close to the surf?

I live right around the corner from where you're staying.
The secret spot is not shut down. The inlet is 5 mins from green rd.
What dates? We ride most every weekend. But I might be out of commision for foothold install. (have a back-up though). x2Frank also lives around the corner. Alot of the St. Augie guys will either ride there or the big inlet. Always good meet other riders!

I'll be there around noon on Sat. the 13th, and leaving the following Sat. the 20th. Can I get to that inlet from the ramp by my house easily? That would be awesome. Do I need to bring a beach cart for any of the spots? My GF has a GP1200, so I'll only launch that thing from a ramp.

Dan, get some glass and resin, and I can help cut and glass the footholds in Sat. night. Turf Sunday and you're set :barrel:

you can easily get to the inlet from there, but you will use some fuel and there's 2 no wake zones along the way. The secret spot is not exactly a "ramp" but loading/unloading is easy. Plus there's always someone to lend a hand.
If you ride the big inlet (north) you will definately trailer there.

Not hard to find, I'll pm you my number. We normally get there around 10:00 or so.

Nice ramp/beach, my buddy puts his GP1200 & 700XL in with his Saturn!

there is always a beach cart around, plus you can back right up to the waters edge.....to pull them back out most of the time we just get 4 people and dead lift them into the bed..

I just put in a reuest for the 13th off...theat'll make a nice long weekend...sundays are never a problem, but I work 99.9% of sundays thru the year.....

If I can't get her GP1200 back on the trailer she can ride it back to the house.

The guy I ride with here is a airline pilot, and he works almost every weekend while I'm off. He was gonna come down there with us, but he has to go to flight training that week now.

Forgot to ask. Is there any good scuba diving charters down there, or just some nice beach dives. We're used to 50 degree water with 10 feet of visibility, so we're not picky.

not sure about that......at the secret spot there are some nice tidepools at the right time of day...the water clarity here has been HORRIBLE the past 2-3 weeks since the last storm..its a nice, nasty brown color...

I hope to have mine done. But I will if I have to.

Idok...check the FL surf slut FOAM thread. I'd like your opinion on how to handle it.
