it was totally my fault:banghead: we had been riding for quite a while when i looked down at the hood latch and it just didnt look right.i thought to myself ....you dumbass...you forgot to lock the hood!.......so reached down and turned the lock.then the next wave came along and i did a stab straight in and the force of the water i guess sucked the hood open and that was it.

so ....the freakin thing was locked all along:banghead:

i didnt really want to drill holes in my hood but i guess i better put some staps on it:banghead:

butti drill the holes in the hull on both sides and X them over the hood and snap over the hood,just pullem tight,We have a b1 up here with straps on it like this,maybe derm can post up a pic,pretty good holding power.
I dont get why the latch opened up, I never lock my latches on the b1,never had a problem. did ya check out the second vid i posted, check your pm

we've got decent surf in the Gulf but the pusses around here won't ride. I'm pissed. If I knew last night or early this morning I would have hit the eastcoast to ride with some peeps with some stones. :banghead:

i ride a blaster and a squarenose. i will bring the blaster if i ride the surf but the problem is just being able to get away for a day. :banghead:

MIKE,priorities, priorities lol whats it gonna be. Im in aruba now,this place is unreal.Diving here is top notch,Why cant the water look like this back home????????? Im meeting fab and kriss in st maarten also.that should be a blast.Would be sick to get to ski there waters!

chest to head, wind running ALMOST due east.....little choppy (just a LITTLE), but some nice water walls breaking for 100-200 yard rollers in every direction....

you guys suck. I just check my local surf forcast and it said drive to your coast...

South East wind continues today around 10 kts. with a NW afternoon seabreeze. The East coast should be going off for the rest of the work week. If you have time off it should be well worth the drive with chest-shoulder high conditions today.
