squeky Ac pole bolt driving me crazy?

Oh my if that aint the pot callin out the kettle, guess if scotty will spring for 50 dollar bolts than anybody can,I just figured I could go up the street a mile and get something NOW for 5 bucks,If i just knew the size, this place has EVERY bolt imaginable. I dont mind spendin dough, but im sorry 50 bucks for 2 bolts is the stupidest thing ive ever heard,I sure hope they had to cnc them for that kinda dough

Mark, yea that looks like the bracket,Have you already ordered the bolts for jennas ski mark?

Why don't you measure your holes yourself? Measure the diameter and pass-through length and then long enough to fit two nuts. xmw bolts might even be too short for that bracket anyway. Good luck.

hangtime

Speak up ,don't kiss azz
Your not gonna get 2 bolts that size for anwhere near $5 that's for sure .

The stock bolt is $50 so what makes the X Metal ones not worth it ???

Go X Metal and you'll be happy you did .you only need 1 wrench to tighten them because of how they are made .I have some regular bolts I'll sell you I took off my boat for the X Metals .
I had to go to about 6 different places to get bolts that big in stainless.

good luck

hangtime, why did you replace the other bolts ya had if they were in there and worked? the stock bolt may be 50 bucks at yami, but i can get that bolt at a spec fasteners place here for 5 bucks easy,2 small bolts wont be much over 5 bucks,My bud mark has some x metal bolts coming anyway so ill try them first.I just wanted something right now.to me a bolt is a bolt is a bolt, even if ya sprinke xmetal fairy dust on it.

i tried the dual bolt thing with some regular (not stainless) bolts, lock washers, and everything. just to test it out. never would stay tight. went back to stock bolt cranked down. anyone know of where to get these spacers that people put on the stock bolt?

come on cheapazz.....

a bolt may be a bolt may be a bolt.........

but an xmetal bolt is not a squeaky bolt! :cheer:

Idok... my good kettle caller. In the intrest of saving myself the hassel of coming up with something that would work just fine for 5 bucks,I have the xmetal on the way, thanks to my rockafella good buddy mark.

skatebros,ya just needed slightly larger bolts so you could use 2 nuts and cinch them together just like the xmetal ones.

saki, what pole and bracket are you runnin?
yea this bolt and fastener place has everything for cheap, the industrial places have to sell for a realistic price,us being into specific ski stuff,we are pressed enough to pay 50 bucks for 2 bolts, anyone else would go in these big supply stores and laugh there azz off if they were were quoted 50 bucks for 2 bolts. Unfortunatly with skis these places know most of us have more $ than time, owning a surf SJ puts most of us directly in that case,Id cost myself more than 50 bucks huntin for them and making it work, lol
