Fark that, where's your FX-1?

gettin' there.......

waiting on a pump that I bought from someone off the boards.........motor is ready, and I have EVERYTHING I need for that ski...

just picked up a new motor from jetrock, now i have a powerplant for the square...

will be builing my magoo motor here shortly to replace into the red ski...

so, hopefully...with a little luck....the fleet will consist of RUNNING:
96 round
93 square
95 FX

and no stock pipes :cool2:

back on water

Too bad it doesn't look that good any more. 3/4 rolled way too many times last weekend and flexed it enough to pop some paint off of the hood and it's missing a little paint below the bond line from Galveston. No cracks though, so at least my reinforcement job was good.

Good to see your back on water bro, I will call you later on hood mod deal, gotta get it done. Rode the square last 2 weeks and carbs ate water with every stap. Niel hooked me up w/ some stocker 44 FA's, putting them on tonight, hope this helps till I get hood mod done. The round is going together tonight too. I really screwed up trying the type 4 pipe on it this year, finally took it off and bolting up the blaster mod b-pipe. Should rip.
Holler later bro

Cool. By the time we're done modding that square, you'll give Dillon the roundie and keep the square for yourself. :sneaky:

conversion bracket

Where could someone pick up the conversion bracket to mount the round pole?

:haha: you can buy a set up, or you can save some $$$ buy just finding a Stainless round nose bracket, not UMI billet as they will not allow pole to extend completeley upward. Then make an alum or stainless backer plate from flat stock (aprox 1/8" ) and bolt it all together. Thats what I have done anyways. Wammer bracket (or one like it) works great. This looks pimp, but if I knew then what I know now I would have found a -2 alum square pole and had a stainless bracket made for it. Other than looks I have seen no performance advantage to round pole on square hull.

let me guess, you've never got your finger pinched in a square hood with an aluminum pole... roundie gives you much more room and is lighter. much easier to cut the stock pole and shorten it too. my square aluminum AC pole is laying in a corner with my -3 round on the square with no thoughts of ever going back

I bought a conversion bracket from legdragger... works great. Then cut my stock RN pole down -2". much lighter than the SN pole and you won't pinch your fingers. Cheap too. WAAAAAAY better than the big SN pole.

I read thru all of the posts, because I have been wondering the differences between the 2. I am on a search right now for a hull. So after reading all of Nicks comments, I may lean toward a SN hull now.

I just have to rip out my B1 motor and I'll be set.

Having one of both, I found that the RN is a little more top-heavy (stock of course) than the SN, but the RN cuts the water better on hard leaning turns than the SN. SN seems to 'catch the front edge' on the turn more.

My future big money upgrades - RN.
