Square exhaust tube removal

Someone at the lake asked me yesterday about removing the exhaust tube from the rear of his square. The aluminum one from inside the tray.
I couldnt completely answer his question.

He wanted to know if he drilled the rivets from the back of his ski at the exit of his exhaust tube and cut the glue (5200) from the neck of the tube would the thing slip/pull/come out?
He thinks he has a leak between the exhaust tube flange and the rear of his ski.

His ski is stock and has never been refoamed.

yes, it will slide out.

you might have to beat on it from inside the engine compartment to get it moving, then it can be pulled out.

will relay msg. The only problem I see now is this guy will want me to remove it, seal and reinstall!
But that is good news.

If it's original and had a leak, it might just drop right out once the rivets are gone. Otherwise use a block of wood on the end and beat that with a sledge to drive it out the back.

Mine has seperated from the hull at the rear. Any tips on resealing that biotch? My inclination is some 5200, new rivets and a BFH!

You need to just bite the bullet and refoam that bitch....
