There is a Delta II launch scheduled for 3:04pm today if you care to stop and watch. I don't know how far away it will be visible, so give it a look and let me know. The payload is a GPS satalite if you're wondering.

It's not as impressive as at shuttle launch but it's still fun to watch :burnout:

Yeah..........stoooopid could blocked most of the ascent from our view here at work, I was only able to see the first 30 seconds or so, it was behind the coulds before I could even hear it :rant: Oh well, these things go up all the time :Banane25:
 
saw it from up close. I happened to be in the right place at the right time. No clouds blocking my view :hitwithrock: It's kinda like a big bottle rocket or something.

One of the nicest launches I've ever seen and I've seen a lot of them. I didn't have my camera on me at the time-walked over to the store.

This one was sweet due to how it arched toward the south and there were no clouds in the sky to block the view.

i would love to see a shuttle take off but i doubt i ever will
cant see myself planning a holiday just for that but you never know
