no actual carnage but.....I go to deal with my ride plate bolts which keep backing out. I figure it was my off brand locktight. I pull the plate to clean the bolts and all 4 pump bolts were missing. LOL. My pump was being held in place by the steering cable and 2 colling lines.:eek2: And my ride plate because on this Envy hull the plate actually smashes up in to the bottom of the pump.

Good grief man.....

All is well now though. Don't use crappy locktight....I poured them side by side and the real stuff is much thicker.

I don't use loctite on any of those. Hell, both of the rear pump bolts are borderline stripped. They tighten just enough to pull the lock washer flat and that's about it. Have you tried lock washers? They have held fine for a lot of hours of riding.

I think mine are fine? Crap now I can't remember. Glad I a had a extra set. And now fresh real locktight. If the loosen up today I'll assume they are course. Either way I think I'll make sure I have lock washers up there.

same thing happend to buttis hull first ride.....all the pump bolts backed out, the only things that saved the pump were cooling lines and steering cable lol...

I installed lock washers in my rev from the gitgo and no issues...

''' shake the bottle first, liquid type separates after a long time in the tool box '' BTW oilfree/'' solvent clean'' bolts will NEVER viberate loose with loctite , clean the nut threads with solvent too before assy and blow dry with compressed air .
