Looks like an old Mariner headpipe (made by FP) with a true FP chamber.

How long is that chamber? (end to end)

The headpipe has been sandblasted, screws are jacked up, and the chamber looks like a limited chamber based on the length of the middle section.

The Mariner headpipes were manf. for Mariner by FPP back in the early 90's. They were for the K750sx limited. The design is exactly the same as the SJ "B", They use the K650 style headpipe gasket & 4" silicone coupler, but I sort of recall the angle of the Headpipe mounting bolts slightly differant on the K motors compared to the Y motors.
I never tried to fit one in a SJ. If the headpipe would fit, it would work.

This one looks like it has had a rough life in salt water.

I have the same headpipe. Its just an old version of b pipe, it will work fine. You should replace all those rusted screws on your mani and headpipe, im sure you know that though. The chamber looks like a mod to me.
Whats intersting is your headpipe has the exact same gouge marks that formed on mine. Has anyone gotten those marks on their new style headpipe?

I tried it once and for some reason I want to say the 750 pipe goes lower and hits the bed plate but I could be wrong it was a while ago. there must have been an issue of some kind because we didn't end up putting it on that ski. But then again the issue could have been we ran out of beer for the night.

Okay, well this is pretty weak if it's not a B pipe. It's been 5 months since I bought the ski, I wish I would have asked sooner because it does look different than the black B pipe on my other ski.

it's the first factory, before 93, (I ve the same) its fit on Wave runner 650, and he had bought FP B stinger to put on, the old chamber are in stainless and have the same PROTEC shape. i ve one somewhere, if i find it i can take pics .(sorry about my poor english) :biggthumpup:
