Super Jet so ticked off right now...

The carbon fiber was cool, but the resin bonding it together certainly was not. Every in ground filling station tank in the last 4 decades has been made of fiberglass and they seem to be holding up just fine exposed to diesel or even that horrible ethanol/gas mixture. Real epoxy resin is a wonderful thing!

I got a reply from the vendor. Basically, this tank stopped being sold due to the incompatibilities with ethanol-added fuels...and that is what caused my issues. The vendor is trying to get the same size tank made out of plastic and said they will work with me on a replacement.

I stated that I understand the tank was out of warranty...but that this issue was not a workmanship or build defect, it was a "unsuitable for it's intended use" type of issue. They didn't offer a refund.

So, basically, I might end up with the world's most expensive kart tank.

DAG, I'm still deciding if I want to sell it or not. You've got first dibs...
