SN handlepole conversion??

Hey, I was wanting to change my SN handlepole to a RN handlepole. What all do I need and what modifications need to be done? I also want to install some footholds but not sure which to purchase. Im 6'5", wearing a 13 shoe so I need a little room, any suggestions? Thanks.

I am 6'2" 240lbs, I converted to a RN pole and chopped 4.5" out of mine. It totally changes how the ski handles in my opinion. Your weight is farther forward, and to me I feel like I have more control over what the hull is doing in the water due to the shift in CG. I went the cheap route and used my stock SN bracket (lots of grinding, a little bit of fabrication). Do a search, there are a few threads on the subject.

Totally a worthwhile mod.....

SN to RN can be done many many different ways. The steering parts swap right over so the worst part is getting the base mounted to the square. You can grind the pole end to fit in the stock bracket or buy a conversion bracket (like the one in my sig or others). Some have had limited success modifying a RN bracket to work, but it is the least efficient method IMO.

I put an xmetal pole and bracket on my sn and I love it. only modification I did was move the hood hooks, but I would strongly suggest re-enforcing the entire mounting area.
