I've been doing business with Tom almost since I bought my 1st 650SX 8 months ago.
My 1st encounter with Tom was on these boards, when I broke the throttle return spring on my carb, and Tom gave me one free of charge getting me back on the water much sooner than I expected.
Since then... Tom has done a countless number of jobs for me and I can't be happier with the work he does and the service he provides. He doesn't just do the job, but he does it exactly the way I want it, within my budget, and he'll even shoot the shat with you when you're there. I'm quite impressed to meet someone in this sport (and MX/dirt) that will do for me what Tom has done.
The thing I like the most about doing business with Tom is that he doesn't have a 'give me you're money and get out' attitude like many others. Building my X2 is as important to me as riding it, and I don't want to just hand someone my cash and my ski and come back in a week. Tom gets the parts, tells me how to do the job, and will assist me where I need the help. I get to do 98% of the work, which means a whole lot to me. It's also great that he'll take the time to chat with me about how we can do different things to our skis to make them better. He's not just after my money, I can tell he's genuinly interested in this sport and helping us out. I wouldn't have half the knowledge, near the interest or have what I have in this sport if it wasn't for Tom.
The list could go a while... but here's some of the bigger things that Tom has done for me. Things I couldn't do myself.
When I bought my new 750 engine, Tom welded the casting flaw in the head, and the ski works perfect.
Tom helped me with my 650>750 intake manifold conversion.
Tom is A+ on getting parts for me, which is a continueously growing list that will continue to come from Tom.
Tom welded my damaged ATV trailer.
He also pressed out the rear axel in my ATV, for a much better price than what a dealer wanted.
The list goes on for quite a while...
Most of the guys in Tom's area use him already, but if you don't, I highly reccomend him. It's worth a drive.
