So, I sold all of my skis, thought I made the right move. I bought this:

Although it is fun, and absurdly fast, I want a watercraft. (I'm either going to lose my license, or kill myself on this thing)
If anyone knows of a Blaster 1 in rebuildable condition near Jersey, please keep me in mind.
Thanks,
Bri

My bike turned in to transportation and that is when he fun goes away IMO.

Plus I remember having Ohio bugs smashing in to my face /helmet constantly.

As much as I love bikes they actually are pretty annoying to own in Cleveland anyway. Traffic, bugs, bad drivers, chitty roads.:frown:

The problem here in Jersey is way too much traffic, and no one pays attention. I've had too many close calls with people almost running me over. Never had that problem on the ski

Good call! You'd be better off with a ski and maybe a dirt bike.

I had a KZ1000 for 10 years before some a-hole took a left in front of me on a 2 way 35 mph street. I t-boned him and launched myself at the last second and flew threw the air like Superman down the street 50 ft. then doing a tumbling dive roll move and landed on my feet. It felt like my wrists were broken and I had the wind knocked out of me too and a couple road rashes and bruises. Anyways, I here someone yell "You alright"? I turned slowly around and said yeah with the wind knocked out of me. Then I heard a car peel rubber out of there. The guy hit and run me and the police never caught him. All I knew is that it was a red car. Nobody saw it happen and got his plate numbers.
I ended up not breaking anything, just some sprained wrists and bruises. I bought a new frame and forks and rebuilt the bike and sold it. I was real lucky.. could of been killed. Also had WAY to many close calls like others have mentioned here.
I do own a dirt bike and go trail/hill climbing around Havasu, but I dont have to worry about some loser driver not paying attention. If I wreck at least it will be my fault!

once it gets warm here I here of some one dieing on a monthly basis. as much fun as I think it would be its not worth it. when I shattered my femur I was next to a guy with the same problem as me and he did it on a bike. The first 2 months were the worst 2 months I have been a live and it is just not worth it to me. its to easy to screw up. I knew a guy a few months back that died. he was about 50 and he had been riding for the past 20 years. He was one of the safest drivers I knew. one night he was out riding with a buddy. he was about 100 yards in front of him and he goes around the bend and when his friend came around he was no where to be found. the guy went back to look for him and he had gone down and his head went straight into a pole. he could have been 2 feet left or right and he might have been alright. he had severe brain damage and he was in a coma. They said if he ever came out of it he would be a vegetable. They don't know what happened. he may of hit rocks or it could have been a deer. we wont know, at least not in this life what happened to him. its just not worth the risk to me for a little fun.

bike are fun but not worth it in my opinion either. i sold my cbr a few years back because i knew that if i didnt i was gonna end up dead. ofcourse i use to ride wheelies down the highway and brought it up to 150mph one time too. when you get on a bike all sense of self preservation takes the way side...atleast for me anyway.

one time i was going down the road and a lady pulled out in front of me sideways...saw me and she freaked out and stopped crossways in the lane in front of me. i was on the brakes so hard the rear of the bike was off of the ground and coming around on me. when the rear of the bike touched back down to my right it whipped me around the back of her car and i barely was able to ride it out. if the rear tire had not come around and touched back down when it did the bike would have plowed into the back of her car. bad things about all of this....my mother was in the truck behind me watching the whole thing.

With the way people drive cars and trucks in michigan, you have to be out of your damn mind to ride on the road with a motorcycle.

I always wanted to get one, but the risks outweigh the benefits and I would rather not be in a wheelchair or have an early exit in life!!!

If your itchin' just to go for a ride, PM me. Granted my 650 and 750sx's are nothing like your former SJ, but it would get you back on the water. I may be up at Greenwood Lake next weekend, not sure yet. If I do, I'll have an extra ski.

That's an awesome offer man  I'm debating what to do, when I sell the bike, I'll have a decent chunk of change to drop on a ski. I'm debating on a blaster 1 or a nice allready modded SJ. Hopefully I can sell the bike fast.

I told you the bike phase would be short lived!
