Other ski got to say hi to some rocks

well took the sit down to the lake today with my other stand up cause my super jets head is cracked and well the steering cable broke while taking a corner w/o throttle and well we high fived the rocks... time to bust out the fiber glass...oh well good practice for my up and coming foot hold install.163.jpeg

finally got around to patching the hull and for it being my first time doing any fiberglass i think i did a good job.

we were all the way on the other side of the lake, we tied it on nose up on the seat of the 1200 3 seater we had out there and hauled ass across lake barely made but we got it home without sinking it luckily, it was seriously a sight to see, just picture a 1200 w/o throttle across a huge lake with a ski basically on the back seat

That hurts. With so many ski's getting parted out, you should be able to find a decent replacement hull cheaper than repairing that one. I had a few advertised for under $100 and finally just started hauling them to the dump and handing the titles back into the state. Hulls are hard to get rid.

not in my area you can hardly find a bare hull, specially a little old kawasaki super sport xi, and it would only be about 100 bucks to repair it cause i already have most the fiber glass materials sitting around the shop

You want the banana boat? $50 picked up lol. It's even got papers.

in my truck it would take 1200 in gas just to get there but man if i was closer i would love to pick that hull up. and yea just alil wax on wax off and it should be good as new. would have been worse but the fire hydrant took the rest of the blow.

yes, about 5 inches past the hole in all direction and about a inch thick after sanding and prep for paint, we laid the inside first by building a mold out out paint mixing sticks and was paper to give us a ruff shape then once that was set up we did a few more layers on the outside and sanded it to the shape of the ski
