dont buy the ebay fake ones! i got a new one for 75$ and it lasted one trip to pismo had the oem one ordered before i got home. OEM new or used only for me!

I mean the ebay guy refunded my money with zero questions and before he received the part back so it must be common. I am sure others have had luck with them but my ski is 80% surf and cant trust them now.

If you are replacing an existing defective switch, then the oem repair harness is the way to go, less than the complete switch but replaces everything electrical and harness/plugs, only reuse the plastic housing on the bars, but switches and guts are all new.

totally - I bought a used OEM one, not the Chinese knock-offs. I will run it until it fails and then buy an OEM harness from JM... In this case I actually needed the harness, the lower clamshell, and the green start button to press into a Thrust surf switch

I just got my Thrust surf switch installed! such a nice piece!

i think 124$ and on sale for 99$.... thats just what i found on his list.

So even if I buy the new harness, I still need the housing...where can I get one of those? I'd even take a used unit

New OEM assembly is $229 at babbitts. Oof. But at $100 for wires, $50+ for used housing, you're not far from it.

Edit: for what it's worth that was not a recommendation to buy the assembly there, it was just the fastest place for me to look up the price.
