Has anyone used these on their superjet? Any feedback is appreciated.

I can't believe it....no one has an opinion on these? If anyone has used these please let me know the pros & cons. I rather hear it from someone than drill holes in my hull. thx

i got r pot carbon ones and they helped out handleing alot. I dont know if you would want them for freestyle but it makes it really easy to hook a corner now...

What kind of riding do you do Rix? Those may help a little for sticking to the face of a wave when surf riding but will do little or nothing for jumping or ariels. In West coast surf nothing seems to beat the already proven Tubbies and a D cut plate combo.

Thanks guys

I do mostly free ride in the surf in San Diego (Pt Loma) but hit the Colorado river about 10% of the time. I just wonder if these Riva sponsons which fill the bond rail at the rear might lift the back and therefore push the nose down (not a good thing for surf).
The fact they are not common and Riva discontinued them had me concerned they are not worth putting on.

I think you just answered your own question, if they made that much of a difference then why aren’t more people using them? IMO for the type of riding you do, you should be running Tubbies and a D cut plate for your surf sessions and swap the D cut for a long plate when you make a River run.

I had them on my old '96 RN. They made a little diference for racing. For surf, I didnt notice anything positive or negative. I recently purchased another SJ, I still have them sitting in a tool box. Dose that tell you anything? Try the aluminum like the other guy suggested. If you like that, then get the safer and nicer riva version.

ive got them on my ski along with tubbies....

i tried riding with a d cut plate and hated it...now i have a jet dynamics........ i ride both surf and buoys depending on the tide.(low tide surf) high tide (Marsh)

i think they work well and definitely help with cornering at high speed...

a couple guys we ride with run them and like them.

let me know if anyone wants to sell a set, my buddy is looking and cant find them anywhere since riva discontinued them.

i like that they fill the bond line and keep the water trailing straight to the back of the the ski instead of around the corner at the rear bond line.

Well, if mine where in better shape, I'd sell 'em to you real cheap. One lost the leading edge that fits under the bond flange, the other is ok. But they are all cracked up from surf abuse.
