SJ OEM hood seal tight fit.

Hi,

I've just installed a new OEM hood seal on my SJ after it being sprayed, this is making a good seal but perhaps a little to good, it is very tricky getting the hood (ATP one) on without folding back the flaps on the seal to make the hood fit on, is it the case that this will ease in time or is there a trick to making it easier to fit the hood?

Any help would be good

I had the same problem when I first got my aftermarket hood. I had to ensure that the back of the hood (near hood latch) would not fold down the hood seal.

After a while it just stopped being a problem.

Thanks for the help, fingers crossed it will work out, at the min the problem is the front of the hood (nearer the stern), at the min I have to fold back flaps with screw driver to get hood on, have left the hood on overnight and has eased a bit but still a bit annoying
