Oh, if you have some striped turf (rather than the diamond cut stuff) cut a nice long strip, keeping the groove in the middle for the hood lip to sit in. If you want it pulled down tighter than that, cut the strip so the hood is sitting perpendicular to the ridge in the turf.
Then, just lay down your contact adhesive/glue of choice and stick down your first edge where you want the join to be. Have a friend hold the other side up while you lay the strip down and when you get to the edges, apply some heat with a heat gun and mould it around. Continue this until you meet back up with your join.
You could always use 4 seperate strips, but this way is a bit neater.
It may not be the ideal solution for all people, but it certainly holds down the hood tighter than the stock seal, and really, who doesn't have some old turf laying around? It's not going to cost you anything, and I bet you'll be happy with the results!
