Site idea, chime in with your thoughts

I'm thinking about a new section, a Trick How-to forum, where we have a thread for each trick that people can post pics/vids and instructions on how they do it. Also, the title would have the various names it's called, like Fountain/Firehose or Bronco/Invert Sub, etc.

The question is, are people going to post pics/vids showing how to do the tricks?

I'v just been watching all the sylmo videos in slow-m0. Its always good to have more than one person explaining how to do tricks, as allot of the time once you got a trick down its hard to explain all the prep movement as it then comes naturally. on top of their is always variations to the tricks.

Great idea. You might want to break it up into surf and flatwater though since the techniques for the same trick can be very different. Surf barrel roll tips, for example, won't be everything a flatwater roller needs to know. I think it would be better to keep the threads separate so as not to confuse people.

Also, I'd like to see people post videos of them failing so that others can point out what's being done wrong. That way it would really be like an online clinic with some "common mistakes" evidence and advice.

Adrian could cover the "how to break a bone or hurt yourself badly" section. He's the resident master on that subject matter. I think it's a good idea. Mistakes would be good also. Showing what a barrell roll without enough speed looks like, etc.

I was thinking of this also but I wanted it more for the name of the trick. SO when I state that I broke 4 ribs trying a (insert trick name here) I will be calling it the correct name. And hopefully someone cought it on video
